Tis the season (once again) for holiday discounts!
Every year we here at BuildThatBeat scour the web to find some of the best holiday software deals in one place for aspiring producers. We continued this annual Buyer’s Guide tradition from last year and have prepared this for you once again for 2015. As we like to say each year, “If you’ve been using software from “a friend,” this would be a great opportunity to purchase.” A lot of these deals won’t last long, so make sure you are thorough with your research and move quickly to purchase. One last thing to note, you’ll notice that the list has some big names absent from it this year. It appears that some of the larger companies decided not to run a holiday sale (we’re looking at you Ableton). Hopefully this just means that we can expect discounts to come later in 2016 (we hope!).

Synapse Audio Software is currently running a holiday sale for their award-winning synthesizer, DUNE. I don’t have a lot of experience with this synthesizer, but it’s been a popular synth as of late. I’m adding this to the holiday list as it wouldn’t be fair to exclude due to my lack of familiarity. With a discount of over 60%, it’s hard to not give it a genuine look.

Spire –
We’re big fans of Spire. I don’t know if we really talk about it enough on this site, but it deserves a lot more attention. Not only is it backed by the likes of Armin van Buuren, and Hardwell, but it’s also a really easy synth to dive into. It feels less aggressive/overwhelming than something like Sylenth1, but it also provides a wonderful and unique sound to your tracks. The only thing I will caution you with before you purchase, is it a notorious memory hog. You have to be mindful of that when you produce, or just use it sparingly without freezing tracks.

Sylenth1 –
Arguably one of the most popular synthesizers, Sylenth1, is on sale until December 27th. Producers all around the world from Deadmau5 to Sander Van Doorn and everyone in between has used Sylenth1 in some capacity. Deadmau5 specifically has used Sylenth1 on his last 4 albums, which shows both his dedication to the synth and its versatility.
